We are looking for a general practice Chartered Surveyor to provide property support and advice on the primary care estate to Health Boards in Wales.

You will advise Health Boards on the reimbursement of rent to GP practices, assist in the improvement of GP practices, support the development of new primary care schemes and provide advice on wider property management issues relating to the primary care estate.

To fulfil this role you will be a Chartered Surveyor with detailed knowledge and experience of valuations, rent reviews, property development processes, land transactions and lease management.

Valuation & Estates Manager

We are looking to appoint a Valuation & Estates Manager who has the enthusiasm, drive and technical knowledge to lead, motivate and develop the Council’s Estates team.

You will be a member or fellow of the RICS with registered valuer status (or eligible to obtain registered valuer status), with significant post qualification experience and at least five years managerial experience gained from either the public or private sector
You will be expected to seek to optimise the Council’s property portfolio through rental income, developments and capital receipts, plus provide professional advice, guidance and support in estates matters across the Council.
You will have an in depth understanding of estate management and landlord and tenant matters, plus detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements of both local authorities and the RICS Professional Standards.
The post will require you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and you will need to have very strong numerical competency and be proficient in carrying out valuations for a range of purposes.

Asset Management Surveyor

 

Expansion of Carmarthenshire County Council’s Property Team.

An opportunity has arisen within the Property Division for an Asset Management Surveyor to work as part of a team of property professionals providing strategic asset and estate management advice across the Council’s property portfolios.

The successful applicant will use their knowledge and expertise in maintaining, developing and strengthening strategic relationships with the Councils various services and partners, actively developing opportunities to improve the use of property resources.

The role will involve assisting with delivering various strategic property aims and agendas such as Agile Working, Community Asset Transfers and restructuring operational portfolios to meet corporate goals.

The postholder will also have responsibility for undertaking valuations for statutory accounting requirements and managing the Authority’s property portfolios.

A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
