Senior Surveyor - Disposals

Your role

As Senior Surveyor - Disposals you will be responsible for managing a caseload that contributes to the service’s delivery of an effective programme of land and property disposals and acquisitions to achieve capital and revenue receipts, assisting with the delivery of sites to meet housing and regeneration objectives. As part of a dedicated team you will be responsible for identifying property for disposal ensuring voids are minimised, receipts are maximised and efficiency savings are delivered through the effective and professional management of the Council’s property and property data records.

About you:

You will work in partnership with other support services including Legal and Finance to ensure that all agreements, records and financial records including valuations for accounting purposes are compliant with and relevant to the appropriate standards in order to minimise risk to the Council.

You will need to be an excellent communicator who is used to negotiating at all levels with third party businesses, property professionals and external stakeholders. You will be a highly motivated team player who will manage and support an Estates Surveyor and be eager to improve our estate returns in order to provide the best service possible to our customers.

Your role

As a Senior Surveyor Estates you will be responsible for the professional management of a diverse, commercial and operational portfolios of properties, delivering the most effective and efficient use of the Council’s property assets. You will ensure that revenue streams are maximised and efficiency savings are delivered through effective management of the Council’s property. You will work with service managers across the Council and in other public sector organisations including health organisations, community and third sector groups to influence and shape the most effective use of the public estate within the borough.
