MEMBERSHIP

How do I apply for membership?

You can either print off the Membership application form on the ACES website
(http://www.aces.org.uk/editor/ACESMembershipApplication-online.pdf) and post it to the Secretary at the address on the form or you can complete the form online.

How long does it take?

For the great majority of applications approval has been streamlined and you should hear within about seven days subject to things like holiday periods. If you apply online you will also receive an automated acknowledgement by return email.

A very limited number of applications will still have to be referred to ACES Council which meets three times a year.

What happens next?

Once approved you will receive an email from the Secretary with details of your local branch and your website login details. You will also be emailed a separate invoice.

Your local branch secretary should then be in touch with you with details of branch activities.

How much does it cost?

Annual subscriptions consist of two elements, national and branch, but you will receive a single combined invoice for both items from the ACES Secretary.

Currently (Spring 2008) the ACES subscription is £105. In addition a branch subscription is payable - or two, if you join the Rural Practice Branch.

Current branch subscriptions are:

  • Eastern Branch £15.00
  • Heart of England Branch £10.00
  • London Branch £20.00
  • North East Branch £20.00
  • North West Branch £30.00
  • Rural Practice Branch £25.00
  • Scottish Branch £20.00
  • South East Branch £15.00
  • South West Branch £15.00
  • Welsh Branch £20.00
